Attract new buyers, stimulate orders in the online store.

CONCEPT

Samokat celebrated its 7th anniversary in 2024. In honor of the anniversary, the brand decided to launch a promotional campaign in two popular malls in Moscow and St. Petersburg – Aviapark Mall (Moscow) and Gallery Mall (St. Petersburg). We developed two games for the interactive stand. The event lasted two weeks simultaneously in both cities. The first game was karaoke, and the second was a dance battle.

STAND

Players registered with the promo staff, entered a soundproof room, selected a game mode (1 or 2 players), chose the game (dance battle or karaoke), and earned bonuses for completing the game. The bonuses could be exchanged for promotional products from Samokat.

KARAOKE GAME

The functionality is the same as traditional karaoke: choose one track from eight available, repeat the lyrics with subtitles, and try to stay in sync. At the end of the game, players receive points, which they can exchange for prizes.

Our system assessed singing based on how well the player matched the lyrics' timing and the original pitch of the song. If the player stayed in sync with the lyrics more than three times in a row, an encouraging message would appear.

The karaoke background was AI-generated. We customized and refined to match the brand’s colors and concept.

DANCE GAME

The prototype was based on the popular game "Just Dance." The game characters — a boy and a girl — showed dance moves on the screen that the player had to replicate exactly. Kinect detected accuracy, and points were awarded. All the movements and music were from the disco dance genre.

CHARACTERS

We created two characters — a boy and a girl, dressed in a disco dance style. We carefully developed the characters, from drawing and planning the details to animation. The animated boy and girl not only taught players dance moves in the "Disco" game but also appeared in the game menu to assist users in making choices.
